Optional gameplay analytics

Circuitra contains optional gameplay analytics. No analytics data is submitted unless you select Share usage data in the game.

Declining analytics does not restrict the game or affect gameplay.

Information collected

When analytics is enabled, Circuitra may collect:

A randomly generated, pseudonymous installation identifier
Game version, operating system, platform and device information
Session start, session duration and playtime
Approximate country, derived from the network connection
Contract starts, completions and completion times
Switching between contracts
Upgrades purchased
Aggregate solution statistics, such as building, wire and custom-component counts
Other gameplay events used to understand game balance and progression

Circuitra does not intentionally send the following information to GameAnalytics:

Your name or email address
Steam account identifiers
Custom component names
The contents or layouts of custom components
Save files
Messages or other free-form text

An IP address may be processed while communicating with the analytics service, including to derive an approximate country.

Why the information is collected

The information is used to:

Understand how Circuitra is played
Improve contract and upgrade balance
Identify confusing or unused game features
Improve performance and stability
Guide future development

Analytics information is not used for advertising or automated decisions about individual players.

Legal basis and consent

For players covered by the GDPR, analytics processing is based on consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time under:

Settings → Share usage data

Withdrawing consent prevents future analytics submission. Because Circuitra does not associate analytics with an account, name, email address or other identity information, we may be unable to identify which previously collected analytics records relate to you. You may still contact us with a privacy request. If you provide information that enables us to identify the relevant records, we will handle the request as required by applicable law.

Analytics provider

Circuitra uses GameAnalytics, provided by GameAnalytics ApS and its affiliates. GameAnalytics processes analytics information on our behalf.

Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. GameAnalytics states that it uses measures including Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers. See the GameAnalytics Privacy Notice and EU Data Processing Addendum.

Retention

We retain pseudonymous analytics while Circuitra is actively supported and the information remains useful for balancing, improving and maintaining the game. We review whether this information is still needed at least once per year.

When analytics information is no longer needed, we delete it or request its deletion from GameAnalytics. GameAnalytics may delete, anonymise or aggregate information earlier according to its own retention practices. Aggregated information that can no longer reasonably be associated with an installation may be retained for longer.

Sharing

Analytics information may be shared with GameAnalytics and its subprocessors for providing the analytics service. We do not sell analytics information or share it for third-party advertising.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access information about you
Request correction or deletion
Restrict or object to processing
Withdraw consent
Request a portable copy of applicable information
Submit a complaint to a data-protection authority

Some rights require us to be able to identify the information associated with you. Randau Games does not collect additional personal information solely for the purpose of identifying analytics records.

In Sweden, complaints may be submitted to Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten.

Children

If you are below the age at which you may consent to data processing in your country, do not enable analytics without permission from a parent or guardian.

Changes

We may update this policy when the game, analytics collected or service providers change. If a change materially affects what is collected or why it is collected, Circuitra will request consent again.
